Roots We Draw From

OUR ECOSYSTEM OF CARE
Claiming Each Other is an offering of Associação Comadres — a community-run, not-for-profit initiative operating in Southwest Portugal.
Associação Comadres’ mission is to cultivate a more resilient network of community care through opportunities and services which integrate health, education and social action. We do this in many ways ranging from trainings, classes, events, and retreats to running our women’s shelter, library, apothecary and herb farm.

Lorie Solis
Claiming Each Other founder & trainer
Like you, I am many things.
I am bold and sensitive. Reverent and no-nonsense. Dedicated and humble. Deep and comical. Knowing and not knowing. Stouthearted and alive.
When you work with me, you are also working with my ancestors, with the elements and with Spirit.
As an Afro-Caribbean-Lipan Apache-Chicana-Americana woman, the soul of my lifework is inseparable from the lineages I was born and initiated into… and the intimate interconnectivity of life. I honor you as I honor all life. As kin.
I’m humbled by my role as witness and guide on this journey of collective embodiment.
My intention is to contribute towards positive and creative responses to the personal, social, environmental and spiritual needs found within our communities.
May you share your gifts well with the world.
I offer my blessings, respect and solidarity to all beings who find themselves in seasons of life which call for grace, empathy, mercy & courage. May the mysteries of your innate resiliency keep and hold you in your being and becoming.

Claiming Each Other as…Therapy Prevention?
Let’s stop for a second and think about it.

“Courses are often designed to quick-fix a specific problem or deep-dive into a narrow topic. The Claiming Each Other training is neither. It’s a way of moving through the world that invites us to soften, zoom out to see what we’re not seeing, and be transformed together in that process.”
